Audition for Little Devils!

Little Devils is the inaugural production of the Helltown Players. The plays – written by some of the organization’s trustees – are six short works that represent the amazing variety and quality of theatrical works written by Cape Cod playwrights.

A collection of published award-winning plays as well as world premieres, each offers a unique worldview – entertaining, hilarious, inspiring, and heart-warming.

The plays are written by: Jim Dalglish, Meryl Cohn, Lynda Sturner, Gary Garrison, Ian Ryan, and Fermin Rojas. More about the plays >>

Venues and Dates

Little Devils will be performed at two venues - The Provincetown Theater (February 8 -18) and The Academy of Performing Arts (February 29 - March 10)

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will start in early January and run up to February 8. Helltown Players asks that actors be available during this time to rehearse. Schedules will be formed to meet the needs of the actors, directors, and playwrights.

Rehearsals will take place at convenient locations for the actors, directors, and playwrights.

Non-Equity

Due to budgetary considerations, Helltown Players will not be casting Equity actors for this production. We are a new production entity and we will need to keep an eye on our production budget for Little Devils.

We have hopes that very soon, our success will enable us to hire Equity actors for our productions. We hope all you wonderful Equity actors out there will understand!

Compensation

Helltown Players will pay each actor a total of $400.00 for their rehearsal work and performances for the run of the production (this includes both venues.)

How to Audition…

Take a look at the six short plays and give them a read. The Google folder contains the entire short play scripts for five of the plays. Sides are provided for the sixth play (Triangulation.) Another document in the folder contains character descriptions for all the plays. The scripts, sides, and character descriptions will give you a good indication of which characters are most appropriate for you to audition for. The form will allow you to upload your actor bio, indicate the roles you are interested in playing, and choose dates and times you can audition. The form will explain how it all will work.
Auditions will be conducted via Zoom from January 3 - 6, 2024.
