One Hell of a Year!

As we embrace the spirit of Giving Tuesday, Helltown Players is excited to share our remarkable achievements in our inaugural year and invite you to join us in continuing our mission.

Our mission is simple. Helltown Players is dedicated to producing plays written by Cape Cod playwrights and performing them in venues across the region. We are committed to providing opportunities for local playwrights eager to showcase new work.

Our Milestones…

Bonnie Fairbanks and Bill Salem in “Double D” - one of the short plays featured in “Little Devils.”

"Little Devils – Six Short Plays by the Helltown Players"

Our debut production received standing ovations at both the Provincetown Theater and the Academy of Performing Arts. Audiences described it as "a strong evening of entertaining theater" and "a nice jolt of homegrown talent for the wintry off-season."

Provincetown Independent

Anna Botsford and Shepherd Potash in “The Playground.”

"The Playground" by Jim Dalglish

This compelling one-woman show captivated sold-out audiences at Cotuit Center for the Arts and Preservation Hall in Wellfleet. The Cape Cod Times hailed it as "the most intense 100 minutes of your life."

Helltown Players

"A Part of the Noise" by Carl Kline

In collaboration with the Provincetown Art Gallery Association and Forum 24, we produced a reading of this new play about Franz Kline, which played to a full house at the Provincetown Theater.

The O'Neill Festival of New Work

Partnering with Provincetown Dramatic Arts, we helped this wonderful organization with their workshops and staged readings of plays by Candice Perry, Joe MacDougall, Margaret Van Sant, and Jim Dalglish.

Mary Chris Kenney, Jay Critchley, Margaret Van Sant, Lynda Sturner, Victorea Luminary, and Judith Partelow were just a few of the participants in Lynda Sturner’s “Instinct Training for Playwrights.”

Educational Programs

Our classes, such as "Instinct Training for Playwrights" led by Lynda Sturner and "Discovering Structure: Uniting Vision and Form in Playwriting" taught by Jim Dalglish, have empowered local playwrights to hone their craft.

Upcoming Production

We are thrilled to announce "More Little Devils," the second installment of our short play collection, scheduled for February and March at the Provincetown Theater and Cape Rep. Stay tuned for this year’s line up of short plays written by Cape Cod Playwright!
